Fck you I'm a journalist

Yeah what sets me apart from other music reviewers is I didnt start by ranting about music I started ranting about news and current events and other stuff so yes I like music but I only do what is there facts and info I don't go this guy sucks because he sold out or this guy sucks because he changed styles or he didnt change styles... Nope its only what I hear and what I've heard about them I don't judge on my opinion solely but on the facts and then I formulate an opinion that isn't going to piss the artist off

Why some reviewers don't agree

Ok so this reviewer on YouTube post shit about music all the time And whenever they'res a good album he rates it barely above half good and then there's bad albums he rates incredibly good so I call him a music poser why because he is only getting famous for 1 reason... He disagrees with what others actually think what other reviewers think and he gets away with bullshitting albums like that. I claim bull shit on him and he is a ultimate faker you know Kurt cobain said the ultimate crime was to fake and I bet he would agree that he's faking like there's no tomorrow. Seriously take this dude off the internet he is one reason why the term hipster has turned sour. Let's test that theory and I hope he reads so he can know I'm not fooled by his "hot" musical vocab and connections with other artists its called going to Wikipedia and looking up facts and shit.

Album tournament 2011 + more plans

So I'm running out of time reviewing albums and since I get hardly any help here I decided all the albums I have will go under a vs. And since I have a lot of vs. I'm making a tournament of albums and the top album wins the "NOTABLE ALBUM OF THE YEAR BY SKREWNAYHLS" I will copyright this if I have to. Anyway 40 albums, 20 preliminary rounds, 10 semifinals 5 finals and the last blow out jam determining the best of the best so yeah happy New year gift cus that's when it'll end so remember that my few loyal followers I care for I will remember you all when this blog becomes "mainstream" lol but in all seriousness that's my plan and I also plan on a few special reviews + list of the year (albums of notability) and my best remixes before the year ends so we got a lot in store before January!!! WOOO I'm all excited.

BLUR > GORILLAZ

guess what? my favorite band after radiohead is finally doing stuff together again! i heard on a retweet that pitchfork made (dont ask why im subscribed to em) saying that the band blur recorded a new song "but we'll never hear it" ...assholes but anyway besides the fact pitchfork sucks lets talk about the awesome bands hiatus. it would be about EIGHT years since an albums come out. sure its less than the amount of time it took daft punk to release. But anyway heres proof BLUR IS RECORDING. awesome. now if only daft punk would release an album.

reptillians and hangovers

so i was all into the reptillian thing after i heard the firewall by bright eyes... i mean i heard it before and i was like wth is this dude ranting about and i hear "reptillian features" and something about hitler being a yeller who was a reptillian or something anyway i got the lyrics and i finally found out what that dude was ranting about well here are the lyrics for the speech:

If there is no such thing as time, you're already there, and you're controlling this cycle. You say, "Man, look what we found here, Einstein," or whoever you're talking to, Tesla - whoever you're talking to. Problems of the future can be solved by mankind because you create them. And you have to believe in the future, it's what we have to do. We progress, we always progress - we try to. So the Sumerian tablets, they say the same thing like Genesis said, that there were chariots of fire that came into the sky. And these beings got out of them, and they walked like a man but they had reptilian features. They had snake-like eyes, a tail, and, uh, scales, right? And they were - they were here, and they made slaves out of the people. And where they landed in is what the Bible calls the Garden of Eden. They were trying to inbreed with the people here. The women would die, the babies were deadborn. But after two thousand years they started taking, the babies started being born and living. And they had tails, they had a few reptilian features. They could phase shift from one dimension to another dimension, and the people who know say it's from the fourth dimension - the next dimension. Space is expanding; there are spirits coming from the center, right? We're going counterclockwise. There's supposed to be eight other universes going counterclockwise, and that's called Superuniverse, you know? And love's always been the message. It's just - circumstances happen, right? People freak out, just flat flip out, you know? Well, that's where Hitler came from, Hitler came from that way. He was an outspoken, charismatic yeller. And, and all these people said, "Hey, we'll use this guy, hey, look at all these people listening to this guy." You know what I mean? And so that's just what the trip's like, that. You know? It still exists, and their bloodline goes back - back into Sumerian times. You know, they didn't call it reptilian, they didn't call it that. But they did, because they called him Satan, they called him the Devil, and it's the same damn trip. It's a negative force, coming in on a positive force, because it's a third dimension, right? And for it to solidify or to crystallize, it has to have both elements, right? And you have to keep it in balance, or it will, it will, one of them will destroy the other . . .

Anyway these lyrics are all about that reptillian conspiracy thing and its fake its about a planet called niburu or something and its really radical. But anyway they say if you ask someone if they are a reptilian and they don't answer or they say yes they are a reptilian if they do answer your basically gonna get eaten but if your with a group you get no response but I hardly doubt any of it is true. It all started with that guy David Icke a conspiracy theorist from England.
He is a pure example of a guy with a really tripped up mind and bad hangover

Can't use hipster no mo

I was surfing the web and I stumbled upon an article about stRfckr breaking up and I was devastated. I got on Twitter and asked them if they were. This is what happened... I said
They said

I then read the belgium strfckr blog and then I told Portland strfckr

And they said (direct message)... starfucker_USA STARFUCKER @obedgloria tells a lot about a person. when they use the word 'hipster' in a serious sense to 'dis' someone... or at all really... #teenage

So in conclusion I will stop using hipster as a negative term and I believe you all should.

East vs. West?

Ok so I never really got why people say st. Louis is the gateway to the west when in reality its actually more of a gateway to the east from my point of view and since I'm from Kansas City I don't really get the whole thing. St. Louis is an Eastern city but Kansas City is a Western city which is kind of confusing since both cities are in Missouri yet worlds apart. Anyway I was wondering how this involves music production and specific sound and its really hard to say other than the fact that grunge was really big in the west and experimental in the east. That's just my thoughts on this and I'm still stumped on it but I said that I wanted to move to each city with a major music scene and do a music project there but that's only one of my far-out dreams kind of like that dream Sufjan Stevens had about making 50 albums one for each state but who cares I don't think I could do that especially since I'm still not that musically informed. Anyway, I probably stop ranting and do that chillwave album I told myself I'd do. Oh I'm making a remix of pumped up kicks and miss you by foster the people keep an eye out for it.

Look...

I know I'm probably gonna be called a hater, a jealous punk, a loser noob but there's a guy in YouTube who I don't like much. The guy Anthony fantano or whatever from the needle drop is kind of closed minded and his opinion sometimes suck. Look I'm trying to say this as polite as possible, I don't like him sure I don't hate him but he pisses me off. Sure call me a hipster but in reality hipsters don't appreciate music they don't dance at concerts and they take up space at concerts for no reason. Look his opinions are really hipster. Really negative and hardly any good comes out of this and also he rates something I am completely against. Rating an album is like rating the way you walk "oh looky that guy over there he's walking a low 2.5 but that chick in the red dress is easily a solid 7" bullsh** ok? Good music is an art and it should be treated that way no rating just humble opinions not "oh this guy he sounds just like the Beatles" I'm just going to say if you review something don't put a total curtain of criticism on bands. Yeah yeah I also don't like pop review ideology either, "if you don't have so and so number of fans you can't talk hater", because not everybody can just make a crappy song and expect to get money, I listen to people who like making music for the art not for dinero. Anyway im just going to leave it at that since if I keep going ill probably piss Anthony off. Ok I'm done. Hopefully my point has gotten across to someone.

Gorillaz turn 10 years old

Today October 5, 2011 after 4 albums, 3 b-sides albums, and 2 EPs, 18 singles; the Gorillaz finally turn ten. A lot of stuff, good and bad, happened and yes virtual band or not (a title fading away) they are a great influence on music. Sure 2-D, Murdoc, Russel, Noodle and Cyborg Noodle are band members but Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett are band members too. Damon is a busy man he is the brains of the Gorillaz, The Britpop star of Blur, The lead singer of the Good the Band and the Queen, musician of Monkey: journey to the west, and a contributer to Massive Attack and DRC Music currently. Anyway this is not a biography I'm just happy they're 10 years old. Also I found out that today isn't just the day I turn 18. Well I'm happy for Gorillaz and I hope I can see em live one day. anyway they released their compilation of singles today only 15 but thats good they have good songs to publish huh?

Telekinesis and Death Cab at city market

Telekinesis was good but they didn't play Rust or Tokyo my favorite song which pisses me off. Death Cab played everything I wanted but Monday morning and talking bird. It's amazing I didn't know Ben folds could drum

Anyway here's pics

Telekinesis:

Death Cab for Cutie:

Overall good concert but the crowd was horrible during telekinesis. The guitarist of telekinesis was great and lively unlike the crowd hipsters. I hate em.

when i was reviewing tomboy....

i stumbled upon afterburner by a music artist from the 80's called ZZ Top

and i found the song sleeping bag and stages so i looked up the videos of the two on youtube and i found this for sleeping bag:

and this for stages:

course all you hipsters and old folk will love this video if you want to know this is a band from the early 70's and they are aparently a blues rock group from texas (blues havent heard that word in a long time) anyway if you really have time and resources look em up they may not have impacted modern muisc that much (id be suprised if they have though) but they are a formidable listen.
and their #1 hit is la grange from tres hombres i actually heard this song before somewhere and yes it is a big song Hahahaah and i found a video of slash with zz top so heres the coolness :D anyway i was just gonna tell you about this band that kinda faded away thruogh time so yeah sucks but listen to em you might like em you know.

Alex Ebert makes a solo debut

The lead singer of Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeros. And his band Ima robot where he's called "Edward Sharpe"

The supposed to be rapper got into drugs, went into rehab, and then he started ESATMZ with Jade Castrinos. So in a way Alexander a flash back of what he was and who he is today.

It's a good album with songs like truth, glimpses, and let's win! as Golden apples.

I like the album and I think its a good buy but id try Edward Sharpe and the mags first and also Ima robot

But anyway that's what on my mind since I shuffled my iPod and let's win! Started. I also want to take time to say that I'm excited the death cab for cutie and telekinesis! Concert coming up ill post pics on this blog when that comes along

Also the new someone still loves you Boris Yeltsin is almost here can't wait.
