Can't use hipster no mo

I was surfing the web and I stumbled upon an article about stRfckr breaking up and I was devastated. I got on Twitter and asked them if they were. This is what happened... I said
They said

I then read the belgium strfckr blog and then I told Portland strfckr

And they said (direct message)... starfucker_USA STARFUCKER @obedgloria tells a lot about a person. when they use the word 'hipster' in a serious sense to 'dis' someone... or at all really... #teenage

So in conclusion I will stop using hipster as a negative term and I believe you all should.

East vs. West?

Ok so I never really got why people say st. Louis is the gateway to the west when in reality its actually more of a gateway to the east from my point of view and since I'm from Kansas City I don't really get the whole thing. St. Louis is an Eastern city but Kansas City is a Western city which is kind of confusing since both cities are in Missouri yet worlds apart. Anyway I was wondering how this involves music production and specific sound and its really hard to say other than the fact that grunge was really big in the west and experimental in the east. That's just my thoughts on this and I'm still stumped on it but I said that I wanted to move to each city with a major music scene and do a music project there but that's only one of my far-out dreams kind of like that dream Sufjan Stevens had about making 50 albums one for each state but who cares I don't think I could do that especially since I'm still not that musically informed. Anyway, I probably stop ranting and do that chillwave album I told myself I'd do. Oh I'm making a remix of pumped up kicks and miss you by foster the people keep an eye out for it.

Look...

I know I'm probably gonna be called a hater, a jealous punk, a loser noob but there's a guy in YouTube who I don't like much. The guy Anthony fantano or whatever from the needle drop is kind of closed minded and his opinion sometimes suck. Look I'm trying to say this as polite as possible, I don't like him sure I don't hate him but he pisses me off. Sure call me a hipster but in reality hipsters don't appreciate music they don't dance at concerts and they take up space at concerts for no reason. Look his opinions are really hipster. Really negative and hardly any good comes out of this and also he rates something I am completely against. Rating an album is like rating the way you walk "oh looky that guy over there he's walking a low 2.5 but that chick in the red dress is easily a solid 7" bullsh** ok? Good music is an art and it should be treated that way no rating just humble opinions not "oh this guy he sounds just like the Beatles" I'm just going to say if you review something don't put a total curtain of criticism on bands. Yeah yeah I also don't like pop review ideology either, "if you don't have so and so number of fans you can't talk hater", because not everybody can just make a crappy song and expect to get money, I listen to people who like making music for the art not for dinero. Anyway im just going to leave it at that since if I keep going ill probably piss Anthony off. Ok I'm done. Hopefully my point has gotten across to someone.

Gorillaz turn 10 years old

Today October 5, 2011 after 4 albums, 3 b-sides albums, and 2 EPs, 18 singles; the Gorillaz finally turn ten. A lot of stuff, good and bad, happened and yes virtual band or not (a title fading away) they are a great influence on music. Sure 2-D, Murdoc, Russel, Noodle and Cyborg Noodle are band members but Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett are band members too. Damon is a busy man he is the brains of the Gorillaz, The Britpop star of Blur, The lead singer of the Good the Band and the Queen, musician of Monkey: journey to the west, and a contributer to Massive Attack and DRC Music currently. Anyway this is not a biography I'm just happy they're 10 years old. Also I found out that today isn't just the day I turn 18. Well I'm happy for Gorillaz and I hope I can see em live one day. anyway they released their compilation of singles today only 15 but thats good they have good songs to publish huh?

Telekinesis and Death Cab at city market

Telekinesis was good but they didn't play Rust or Tokyo my favorite song which pisses me off. Death Cab played everything I wanted but Monday morning and talking bird. It's amazing I didn't know Ben folds could drum

Anyway here's pics

Telekinesis:

Death Cab for Cutie:

Overall good concert but the crowd was horrible during telekinesis. The guitarist of telekinesis was great and lively unlike the crowd hipsters. I hate em.
